Description

This is a 1764 attached cottage located on the north side of West Street in Abbotsbury. The cottage is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a thatched roof and brick stacks at each gable; the left-hand stack is a 20th-century replacement. It is a two-story building with three windows on the front elevation. These windows are 3-light cast-iron casements with glazing bars, set within dressed stone voussoirs. A 2-light version of the same window type is positioned above the front door. A recessed front door, dating to the 20th century and featuring one glass light, is centrally positioned beneath a segmental arch of dressed stone voussoirs.
