Description

This is an 18th-century detached cottage located on the north side of Back Street in Abbotsbury. The cottage is built of rubble stone with a thatched roof featuring decorative block ridging and gable ends. A brick stack is positioned on the west gable. The cottage has two storeys and two windows on the front elevation. The windows are 3-light cast-iron casements with rectangular glazing bars, except for a 2-light window above the right-hand side. A segmental brick window and door head are also visible. A plank front door, which is a 20th-century addition, is located towards the right of the centre of the building.
