Description

No. 5 Back Street is a detached cottage dating from the mid-18th century. It features rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof with gable ends. There are brick stacks located at the left-hand gable, at the centre ridge, and at the right-hand gable. The cottage is two storeys high and has five windows, which are two- and three-light wooden casements with glazing bars that have been renewed. The wooden cills and lintels are also present. The front door is located to the left of centre and is a 20th-century plank door with a wooden lintel above.
