Description
No 20 Market Street is an attached cottage that dates from the early 19th century. It features rubble-stone walls and a slate roof, with 20th-century brick stacks positioned left of center on the party ridge and at the right-hand gable. The building is two storeys high and has two windows, which are 3-light wooden casements from the 20th century. The front door is centrally located and is a plank door with a wooden frame and a wooden lintel above it. The left-hand room serves as shop premises. There is also an attached house at right angles on Back Street, constructed with the same materials and number of storeys. This house has two windows with wooden casements that include glazing bars and wooden lintels above them. The central door is a 19th-century plank door with a wooden lintel above.
