Description

No. 12 Market Street is an attached cottage dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with some changes to its windows. The building features coursed rubble stone walls and a slate roof with gable ends. There is a 20th-century brick chimney at the right-hand gable. The cottage stands two storeys high and has three windows, which are 20th-century, two-light wooden casements with glazing bars, and a 20th-century three-light version on the left side. The front door is located to the right of centre; it is a plank door with weatherboarding and one glass light, also from the 20th century, and has a wooden lintel above it.
