Description

Nos 3 and 4 on Red Lane are two attached cottages from the 18th century, positioned at right angles to Nos 1 and 2. They feature rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof that continues with the side pitch of No 2. There is a brick stack at the center of the ridge, which serves as a party wall. The cottages are two storeys high and have a total of four windows, which are three-light wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars and segmental brick arches above. There is also a single-light glazed window at the left end. The ground floor has wooden cills, and there are plank doors at both the left and right ends, framed in wood.
