Description

No. 50 West Street is a detached house dating from the early 19th century. It features rubble-stone walls with dressed stone quoins and an ashlar plat-band between the storeys. The roof is slate with stone gable-copings, and there are 19th-century brick stacks at each gable end. The house has two storeys and three windows, which are original sashes with glazing bars, arranged in a five-pane width, and have square stone architraves and cills. The front door is centrally located, flush-panelled with two top lights, and is framed by a square stone architrave, also from the 19th century.
