Description

1 and 2 Red Lane are two attached cottages dating from the 18th century, located at the end of a row. They feature coursed rubble-stone walls with stone quoins and a thatched roof that is hipped at both ends. There is a recapped brick stack at the center of the ridge. The cottages are two storeys high and have two windows each, which are three-light wooden casements; No 1 has a horizontal glazing-bar, while No 2 has full glazing-bars. All openings have segmental brick heads. The front doors are located at the left and right sides of the front wall and are made of plank-and-muntin, dating from the 20th century.
