Description
No. 11 High Street is a house dating from the late 17th century, constructed of rubble stone with a stone tiled roof. It features a coped north gable, a ridge stack, and a south end stack. The building is one and a half storeys tall and has a double fronted design, with two large dormer gables, each containing a three-light recessed ovolo-moulded window with a hoodmould. In the centre, there is a six-pane eaves dormer with a hipped roof. The ground floor has a central six-panel door with a hood supported by brackets, flanked by a pair of twelve-pane sash windows in unmoulded surrounds, each with a hoodmould. At the rear, a parallel range projects to the north and includes a north end stack, a rear dormer gable with a three-light ovolo-moulded window and hoodmould, above a two-light flush cyma-moulded window. Inside, there is a broad flush fireplace with a keystone and rounded angles located in the north room of the front range.
