Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with additions from the 19th century. The original part of the building is constructed from rubble stone, while the later additions are made of coursed rubble stone, both featuring alternating flush quoins. The roof is covered with stone slates, and there are ashlar stacks with two diagonally set ashlar flues at the north end of the original range, which have moulded cornices. The farmhouse has a large T-shaped layout, consisting of two storeys and an attic.
The original wing includes a three-light stone mullion and transom window with a square hoodmould on the left side, and a two-light window on the right side on the first floor, with a later central two-light window in the same style but without a hoodmould. On the ground floor, there is a three-light window to the left of a gabled stone porch extension that covers a half-glazed door from the 19th century. The 19th-century wing to the right features two gables, each with long two-light stone mullions, and the ground floor has two and three-light mullion and transom windows. The farmhouse is said to be located on the site of the original manor house.
