Description
This barn dates from the late 18th or early 19th century and stands immediately west of Church Farmhouse. It is constructed of random coursed rubble stone, partly limewashed, with alternating flush quoins, and has a stone slate roof. The barn features five collar and tie beam trusses. A large, projecting gabled cart entrance is situated on the south side, topped by a projecting hipped roof directly above a pair of timber doors. A cupboard, used for a grease horn, is built into the interior of the projecting wall to the right. All slit vents are blocked. A square pitch hole is present on the west gable, and a small eight-pane fixed light sits beneath a timber lintel to the right of the projecting entrance. A corresponding entry on the north side is also blocked.
