Description

Raw Croft Old Farmhouse is a house built in 1653 for Richard Hutchinson. It features rendered rubble and a stone slate roof. The building has a two-cell direct-entry plan and is two storeys high with two first-floor windows. The entrance consists of a boarded door set in a moulded stone surround, which has a date inscription on the lintel. This door is flanked by two-light double-chamfered mullioned windows. On the first floor, there is a small boarded opening, possibly a pigeoncote, alongside two-light Yorkshire sash windows. The gable has coping and shaped kneelers, with stacks at both ends.
