Description
Bracken House is a shop built in the early 19th century. It features hammer-dressed stone and a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and four first-floor windows, with massive quoins at the corners. Access is through steps leading to a four-panel door set in a stone surround. To the left, there is a shop window and a half-glazed door, both located beneath a dentilled cornice. To the right, there is a fixed window in a stone surround and a wider shop window.
On the first floor, the windows are plate glass sashes, also in stone surrounds. The roof has gable coping, shaped kneelers, and both end and ridge stacks. Bracken House is included for its group value with surrounding buildings.
