Description

Overton House is a shop dating to the late 18th century, located in Market Place, Reeth. The building is constructed of whitewashed rubble stone, with a stone slate roof. It is three storeys high with two windows on the first floor. The left-hand side features a shop front with a plain frieze supported by fluted pilasters. To the right is a carriage arch, defined by a keyed, depressed stone arch. The first and second floors contain four-pane sash windows, each set within banded stone surrounds. The building shares gable coping and shaped kneelers with adjoining properties. A stack is located at the right end of the structure.
