Description
The Half Moon is a shop with accommodation above, dating from around 1740. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof.
The north facade has three storeys and two first-floor windows. It is characterized by massive quoins. On the left, there is a sash window with glazing bars set in a keyed stone surround, and to the right, an external staircase leads to a first-floor board door beneath a brick keyed wedge lintel. The left side also includes first- and second-floor sash windows with glazing bars in painted brick keyed surrounds. To the right, there are two tall fixed windows separated only by a sill, also in a keyed brick surround. The gable has coping, shaped kneelers, and corniced end stacks.
The east facade features a board door in a massive milled stone surround to the right and a 20th-century bay window to the left. The first and second floors have sash windows with glazing bars beneath stone lintels.
