Description

The Olde Temperance is a hotel built in the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building has a hallway entry and stands three storeys high, with three windows on the first floor. The entrance includes a six-panel door set within a stone doorcase that has a moulded cornice. To the left of the entrance, there is an inserted bay window. The remaining windows are plate glass sashes framed by stone surrounds. The gable has coping and shaped kneelers on the right side. There are end stacks, with the one on the left having been rebuilt.
