No. 18 Cliffe High Street is a shop dating from the late 18th century. The ground floor is horizontally rusticated and stuccoed, recessed with a moulded bressumer supported by three pairs of slim Doric cast-iron columns. Above the ground floor is decorative tilehanging, topped by a moulded wooden eaves cornice which hides the roof. A wide dormer window is present with a central lunette. The building is three storeys high with an attic. The front has a three-window arrangement. The windows are sashes, with a double sash in the centre of the second floor and a tripartite sash in the centre of the first floor. The ground floor has four windows and a central arched entrance with a half-glazed door and radiating fanlight.
