Description
Nos 12 and 13 on Cliffe High Street is a house row that has been converted into a restaurant. It dates from the early 17th century and features 19th-century cladding. The building is timber-framed and has decorative tile-hung cladding. It has a gabled facade facing the street, adorned with decorative scalloped bargeboards, and plain tiled roofs. The structure has three gables, with the right one being lower. It is two storeys high with garrets and has a slightly irregular three-window front. There are two narrow double sash windows without glazing bars in the gables, and one on the first floor to the right. The centre and left sections have triple sash windows on the first floor, and there is one triple sash window on the ground floor to the left. In the centre, there is a small double shopfront with a half-glazed door, and a jetty extends over the ground floor.
