Description

This is a medieval hall, likely dating from the early 16th century. The building is timber-framed, featuring exposed square framing with a midrail on the first floor, and is clad in brick on the ground floor of the east elevation. The other sides are covered in weatherboarding. The roof is currently covered with asbestos sheeting. There are some blocked original mullioned windows alongside some 19th-century industrial windows. Inside, the hall has jowled posts with curved tension braces supporting tie beams, collar beams, and angled queen posts. It is part of the same structure as No. 11 Cliffe High Street.
