Description
No 45 on Cliffe High Street is a shop building dated 1829. It features grey headers with red dressings and has a deep wooden eaves soffit beneath a hipped slate roof, which has side stacks on both the left and right. The building is two storeys high and has two windows with glazing bar sashes set in dressed surrounds with gauged heads. The large shopfront, dating from the late 19th century, has a polished timber frame, with an entrance to the house on the left and an entrance to the shop slightly left of centre. A date plaque in an aedicular surround is located in the centre of the second floor, also dated 1829. This building is included for its group value.
