Description

No. 58 Greengate Street is a shop built around 1820. It is constructed of brick and features wide eaves and a shallow gabled roof. The building has three storeys and a two-window range. The early 20th-century shopfront is double-fronted, with a fascia and plate glass windows supported by slender colonnettes. On the first floor, there are late 19th-century oriel windows with casements, where the upper lights have leaded glazing. The second floor has windows with sills and 16-pane sash windows. The right return wall was rebuilt in the late 20th century, and there is a 20th-century rear wing. This building is included for its group value.
