Description
No. 6 Greengate Street is a shop built in the early 19th century, with a 20th-century rear wing. The building is constructed of stucco and features a parapeted roof. It stands three stories high and has a symmetrical four-window arrangement. There is a sill course on the second floor and a plain parapet above. The shopfront was updated in the 20th century. The first floor has windows with shouldered architraves, pulvinated friezes, cornices, and 12-pane sash windows. The second floor windows are adorned with eared and shouldered architraves and feature 6-pane sashes. The right side of the building, which faces Martin Street, is made of brick and has two sash windows above the shopfront. This building is included for its group value.
