Description
44 Cliffe High Street is a mid-19th century shop located in Lewes. The building features grey headers with red dressings and has a slate roof with boxed eaves. It stands three storeys tall and has a regular three-window front, with glazing bar sashes set in dressed surrounds that have gauged heads. The outer bays on the first floor contain margin light sashes. The ground floor has a large 20th-century double shopfront with an inset central glazed door. There is an arched entrance to an alleyway on the right side that leads to the rear of the building. The central windows have been painted out since the last survey. This building is included for its group value.
