Description
No. 61 Southover High Street is a house dating from the early 19th century, featuring a mid to late 19th-century shopfront on the ground floor. The building is finished in stucco and has a moulded wooden eaves cornice beneath a plain tiled roof, which has an end stack on the left and a flat-headed dormer in the center. It is two storeys tall with an attic and has a two-window front. The first floor has margin light sash windows, with a small canted bay on the right that has a moulded soffit. The ground floor features a single shopfront on the right, which includes a central panelled door with a transom light above, all set beneath a modillion cornice. To the left, there is a segment-headed doorway with a boarded door.
