Description
No 67 is a house located on Southover High Street in Lewes, dating from the 18th century and refronted in the 19th century. The ground floor is finished in stucco, while the first floor features decorative bands of plain and beavertail tiles. The building has a coped parapet above a plain tiled roof, which includes end stacks and two flat-headed dormers. It is two storeys tall with an attic and has a regular three-window front. The central window on the first floor is a margin-light sash, while the outer bays feature tripartite sashes on both floors. The entrance is a central panelled door topped with a fanlight that has intersecting tracery in a depressed arch surround. Flanking the entrance are pilasters that support an open pediment. Additionally, there are cast-iron railings with fleur-de-lys heads on both sides of the south front.
