Description

This is an early 19th-century house located on the north side of Southover High Street in Lewes. The house is constructed of grey headers with red brick quoins and dressings, topped with a slate roof and end stacks. The front facade is regular, with three windows on each of the three upper floors and a basement. The windows are glazing bar sashes, set in red brick surrounds with gauged brick heads. The windows on the second floor have shallower surrounds and slimmer sashes in the centre. A central flat-headed porch is fronted by stucco pilasters and a cornice; the original pilasters to the door are partially blocked by the porch. The entrance is through a panelled door with a transom-light above.
