Description
No. 15 High Street is a house with a later shop, likely built in the 1830s. The building is finished in stucco and has a slate roof, with stacks not visible from the front. It features a double depth plan that is one room wide and stands three storeys tall. The façade is symmetrical with a two-window range, deep eaves supported by brackets, and an eavesboard. The shop front, which dates from the 20th century, has a central entrance and plate-glass windows. The first-floor windows are tall, 12-pane sashes, while the second-floor windows are smaller 12-pane sashes. There is also a flat-roofed dormer.
The interior of the ground floor has been gutted for shop use, and the partition between the first and second floors has been removed. The first and second floors have not been inspected but are reported to be plain.
