No 23 Cliffe High Street is a house, which was later used as a shop and is now a house again. It dates from the early 19th century and features chequered red and grey brickwork with boxed eaves beneath a slate roof, which has a rendered stack on the right. The building is three storeys high and has a single window front with glazing bar sashes. On the ground floor, there is a splayed bay with 20th-century glazing and a fascia board above.
