Description
This building consists of Colyton Cottage and an attached part of Brook Cottage. It has a 17th century core with an early 19th century front. The structure features a timber-frame core, brick construction, and an old plain tile roof. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with the right two bays being Colyton Cottage.
The early 19th century entrance includes a six-flush panelled door with top lighting, set in a small latticed porch to the right of centre. On either side of the door are 19th century three or four-light casements. The left bay features a 20th century gabled open porch leading to a 20th century two-light casement, with two additional two-light casements to the left. On the first floor, the right bay has two large early 20th century three-light casements, while the left bay has a similar two-light casement and a small 19th century three-light casement.
There are gable stacks at both ends of the building, with a larger ridge stack located between the left and centre bays. At the rear, there are three 18th century half-hipped gables.
