Description
Lime Tree Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on the east side of The Street in Cheriton. It is constructed of brick and features an old plain tile roof. The building has a T-shaped layout with a rear wing at the center and stands two stories tall with three bays.
The cottage has a central porch made of brick with a pent roof, added in the late 20th century. On either side of the porch, there are 19th-century two-light casement windows set within three-centred gauged brick arches, which are accented by blue brick keystones. A blue brick string course runs along the first floor. Above, there are two 19th-century two-light segmental-headed casements flanking a blank opening that has blue brick infill in a segmental head. The cottage features gable end stacks.
