Description

Kennetts Cottage is an 18th-century cottage, altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick and has a thatched roof. The original part of the cottage is two bays wide and stands 11/2 storeys high, with a 19th-century wing added to the rear and 20th-century additions. A 19th-century door is set within a segmental brick head at the right end of the building. A 19th-century three-light casement window is positioned centrally, with the remains of an earlier opening visible above it. A 20th-century glazed door has a segmental brick head to the left, and a 19th-century two-light casement sits within a segmental gauged brick arch at the left end. Above the windows are two eyebrow dormers, each containing a 19th-century two-light casement, built onto the wall plate. The roof is half-hipped, with a stack on the right hip and another stack to the rear wall where it joins the wing.
