Description
Old Kennets is a cottage that dates back to the 16th century, with some remodelling in the 19th century. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill and additional elements. The building consists of three bays, with the left bay being rebuilt and the right bay added in the 19th century, while the central bays remain exposed. It is one and a half storeys high and has four bays in total. There are 19th-century planked doors at the inner end of the outer bays. The left bay has been rebuilt with brick piers, and the other bays contain 19th-century two-light segmental head casements. Eyebrow dormers with two-light casements are present, constructed from the wall-plate, except for the left bay. A ridge stack is located over the left door, and there is a gable stack on the right.
