Description

School Farmhouse is a detached house dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of timber framing with painted brick infill, and has a red tile roof with early brick stacks. The house follows an 'L' shape, with a small outbuilding attached to the rear via a lean-to. A 20th-century wooden lean-to, painted to resemble timber framing, is attached to the right gable end and is not considered to be of particular interest. The main body of the house is one and a half storeys high, featuring a 20th-century dormer window with glazing bars in the eaves. The ground floor has two large two-light casement windows with glazing. A 20th-century studded plank door is set within a projecting porch, painted to imitate timber framing, positioned to the left of centre on the front of the garden elevation. The attached outbuilding has steps leading to a plank door opening to a loft. The interior of the property has not been inspected.
