Description

Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The 17th-century section features square-panelled timber framing with brick infill, set on a blue lias plinth. The building is constructed of brick with a red tile roof and brick stacks. The layout consists of a rectangular 17th-century range with an added rectangular 18th-century range, creating the current rectangular plan.

The 18th-century range serves as the garden front, displaying a four-windowed facade with 12-pane sash windows. The first-floor windows have moulded flush frames, while the ground floor features three large 12-pane sashes with timber lintels. An off-centre left fielded six-panel door is topped by a 20th-century flat wooden canopy supported on brackets. A band between the floors continues around the gable ends.

There is a blocked doorway in the right gable end, located to the left of 20th-century French doors. To the right, an early to mid-18th-century twelve-pane sash window with a flush frame is present, alongside a blocked segmental-headed window with a keystone on the first floor. A small two-light casement with diamond leaded panes is situated to the right, and a two-light casement with a blind segmental-headed surround, imposts, and a brick keystone is located in the attic. The gable end of the timber-framed range to the right features a twelve-pane sash and two two-light casements. The opposite gable end jetties at the first-floor level. The interior has not been inspected.
