Description
Coopey's Farm is a detached house dating from the early 17th century. It is timber-framed with brick nogging, and some wattle and daub remains. The house has a tiled roof and originally consisted of a two-bay cottage, which has been extended by one bay to the right. It is two storeys high, with the upper half set in the roof. The front features framing that is three panels high, although the bottom panel is shallow, with angle braces at each end of the wall plate. There is a blocked door on the right and an existing front door to the left of centre, which is sheltered by a gabled wooden porch. Wooden casement windows are located on either side of the door, and there are two gabled dormers above. To the left, there is a large external chimney, which is surrounded by a later brick extension. The extension to the right is partly timber-framed at the front, with the rest made of random rubble, and includes an additional door, dormer, and window. The rear elevation shows framing in two panels, with both extensions constructed of random rubble.
