Farm house, early C17. Timber-framed on random rubble plinth, painted brick nogging with a little wattle and daub surviving; tiled roof. L-plan, with 3 rooms to main wing; 2 storeys, upper half in roof. Framing 3 panels high, low tension braces in gable and one in main facade. Timber-framed, gabled porch over boarded door: further boarded door beyond to left: small lean-to dormer immediately to left; otherwise various scattered windows. Gable to road has a sash window on each floor, lower 6 panes wide. Internally 2 rooms nearest road separated by large, internal chimney stack: front door enters immediately in front of one hearth, originally into timber lobby. Steep segmental head to door to unheated end room; both rooms have heavy chamfers to ceiling beams, smaller chamfers and similar stops to exposed joists. Ceiling beams to bedroom nearest road chamfered; with a collar truss, principal rafter jointed direct to wall post, with stud set a little inside.
