Description

This is a milestone located against the garden wall of Hopebrook, dating from the 19th century. It is a rectangular block of stone with a flat top, featuring sans serif lettering and traces of colouring. The face of the milestone shows some wear. The inscriptions read '10/To GLO'STER/6/TO ROSS', indicating distances to Gloucester and Ross.
