Description

Hopebrook is an early 19th-century detached house. It has rendered walls and a slate roof. The symmetrical two-storey facade features three windows and a single-room depth. The windows are sash windows, with four panes wide on the exterior. The upper central window has a semi-circular head with glazing bars forming spherical triangles. The front door is six-panelled, with the upper four panels glazed, and is sheltered by a hollow half-pyramid porch roof. This porch has a scalloped metal frieze resting on spiral iron posts. Wide eaves are supported by paired brackets, and gable chimneys are contained within the building's envelope. A brick and stone extension with a tiled roof is located to the left; this was previously used as a shop.
