Description

Jourdens is a detached house built in the early 19th century. It features smooth, lined render and has a slate roof with brick chimneys. The house is two rooms deep and three windows wide, with each window being a four-pane wide sash. The central front door has panelled reveals and a semi-circular head with a fanlight, framed by reeded detailing and paterae at the springing. This entrance is covered by a late 20th-century porch that replaced the original. The building has a plain plinth, wide eaves, and a hipped roof, with two internal chimney stacks that have square bases set diagonally, featuring four separate flues above that rejoin at the cap. A lean-to structure extends across the full width of the rear.
