Description

The cross base is a medieval stone structure located in Longhope, Dursley. It is square in shape, measuring approximately 600 millimeters on each side and standing 400 millimeters high. The base features an integral plinth with a 45-degree splay, which then rises vertically, and the corners are splayed to form an octagonal shape. At the center of the top, there is a square hole that is filled with stone. This cross base is situated along the line of an old main road.
