Description
The Old Forge is a house dating from the 17th century, attached at one end. It features substantial timber framing with brick nogging, set on a low rendered plinth, and has a double Roman tile roof. The building consists of two equal bays, with the entry located on the left return. The gable has scalloped barge boards. It is two storeys high, with the upper half set in the roof. The main facade displays framing that is three panels high, with an angle brace to the corner post on the left. There are two inserted windows above two gabled dormers, which contain two-light casement windows. One beam is tenoned through a stud, and at the right-hand end, there is a projecting brick chimney that is set diagonally at the top.
