Description
Nos 22 to 28 on Friday Street in Minchinhampton are a row of three former houses, originally four, dating from the early 19th century with some 20th-century alterations. The buildings are constructed from coursed and random rubble limestone, with limestone rubble, ashlar, and concrete block chimneys. The roofs are covered with stone slate on No 22 and concrete tiles on the others.
The front elevation features a mix of window styles, with Nos 24 and 28 predominantly having 20th-century replacement casements and doors. The openings on No 28 have segmental arches, and this block has been altered from two former houses, including a blocked doorway. No 24 has strap pointing and concrete rendered window surrounds. No 22 appears less altered, retaining a 12-pane sash window on the ground floor, with no windows on the upper floor facing the street. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
