Description

Walton Cottage comprises two houses built in the mid to late 18th century in a row on Tetbury Street, Minchinhampton. The houses are constructed from coursed rubble limestone with ashlar detailing and rebuilt chimneys made of concrete block. The roof is covered in stone slates.

The two-storey houses, with an attic, have a two-window arrangement on the front of each. The windows are all originally segmental arched, and now have a mix of replacement windows. The upper floor of No. 20 retains cross-windows. The ground floor of No. 20 has been altered, featuring a 6-panel door and a timber casement window beneath a combined timber lintel. No. 22 has a 6-panel door and a 12-pane ground floor sash window, with two 4-pane upper floor sash windows. The eaves have a coved stone detail. There are three gabled dormers with 20th-century casement windows, and two ridge chimneys. The interior remains uninspected.
