Description

Milestone located at the National Grid Reference SO749005. This milestone dates from the 19th century and is made of sandstone. It stands approximately 1 meter tall from the pavement to its rounded top, with the pillar measuring about 300 millimeters by 450 millimeters. An attached cast iron plaque is mounted on the pillar, which features the word 'CAM' in a semi-circular design at the top, and below it lists the distances to Gloster (13 miles), Dursley (2 miles), and Wotton (6 miles).
