Description

Milestone located at the National Grid Reference ST 787992. This milestone dates from the 19th century and is made of sandstone. It has a pillar that measures approximately 450 mm by 300 mm with a rounded top. Attached to the pillar is a cast-iron plaque measuring about 400 mm by 500 mm, which has a semi-circular haunched head. The plaque features the inscription 'ULEY' at the top, with the distances 'DURSLEY 3; ULEY 1; STROUD 6' listed below.
