Description
No. 7 The Green is a dwelling that was formerly two cottages and stabling, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed and squared rubble with stone slate roofs. It consists of two sections: on the left is the former carriage house, which features a central gable and three parallel gabled spaces with garage doors leading to the courtyard. On the right, brought forward from the carriage house, is a cottage with gable stacks, one of which is external and fills the narrow gap between this building and the adjacent property.
The carriage block is a single storey with two arched windows flanking a central double door that is set under a segmental arch. The main block is two storeys high and has three windows, featuring 2-light sashes with bars and Gothick traceried heads, all under wooden lintels. There are also two plank doors, with the left-hand door having a lean-to stone slate hood supported by brackets. The doors are positioned between paved windows.
