Description
Went House is a detached dwelling built in the early 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar limestone and features a stone cornice above a hipped stone slate roof, with stacks at the ridge. The building has a compact form, with a later brick wing on the right side. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a symmetrical arrangement of windows: two on the left, one in the center, and two on the right. All windows are sashes with glazing bars, set in flat band surrounds with projecting keystones. Above each keystone, there is an unmoulded string course at both levels. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door, partially glazed, framed by a flat stone surround and topped with a flat stone hood supported by consoles. The cellar area features two-light stone flush beaded mullion windows. The interior of the house has been considerably modified.
