Description

Milestone located on the south side of Dursley Road in Sandpits, dating from the 19th century. It is made of sandstone and features an attached cast iron plaque. The milestone rises approximately 750 millimeters from the verge and has a rounded top, with the pillar measuring about 300 by 450 millimeters. The plaque displays the word 'CAM' in a semi-circular format at the top of the panel, and below it, the distances to Dursley (1 mile), Berkeley (4 miles), and Wotton (5 miles).
