10/275 Milestone at NGR ST 0725 4084

Milestone. Late C18 Sandstone and cast iron. Monolithic slab, cambered head, set into bank at roadside, about 400 mm high with attached cast iron plaque, semicircular headed top central section and raised lettering: '8 Miles to Minehead'. Unusual in that the lettering is raised rather than incised.
