Description
The Lodge is a lodge building dating from around 1860, located at Orchard Wyndham. It is constructed of red sandstone random rubble and features a slate roof with decorative bargeboards. The building has a large stepped external stack on the right return and is designed in a picturesque Tudor style. It is one and a half storeys high with two bays, and all windows have Tudor arch heads. The left gabled dormer contains a two-light casement window, while the right gable end of the cross wing has a three-light casement. On the ground floor, there is a two-light casement window on the left and a three-light casement window on the right, which is set in a hipped roof canted bay. The roof of the left gable continues as a catslide roof, forming a single-storey porch at the centre, which features a Tudor arch headed plank door.
